We have Know Your Customer (KYC) checks in place to comply with EU regulations. This is required by card schemes and our commercial partners, in order to provide you with our services.
If you use one of our acquiring partners, we may contact you on their behalf to obtain up to date KYC / KYB documents.
When we will contact you:
- If a document the acquirer holds on file has expired.
- For example passport, driving licence.
- If the acquirer is made aware of changes to Companies House.
- For example additional directors, change of address before you notify us / them.
When you should contact us:
- If you are planning to sell your business
- If new directors join your business
- If you plan to change your business name
Please Note - It is a legal requirement of your acquirer to keep up to date copies of documents, and it is part of your agreement with them to provide any requested KYC / KYB when asked.
Please ensure that you respond to these requests in a timely manner. Failure to provide the documents may result in your acquirer withholding funds or, in serious cases, your account being closed.
