It is recommended to create a payment session reference to authenticate requests, as this flow supports the full payment flow handling Customer Initiated Transactions for alternative payment methods and 3D Secure transactions.
This reference should be stored by your backend server and used to populate payment session when calling /payments and /preauths from your front-end client.
This method of authentication ensures that any intermediate steps are handled automatically by Judopay.
For more information, see Authentication using Payment Session.
For more information on creating a /paymentsession, see Transaction API paymentSession.
Note: Merchants operating in specific money movement and financial services categories, as defined by the card schemes must include additional data in the payment session.
For more information, see Account Funding Transactions.
